Fudge Tunnel

It happens to us all. The dreaded block turns up and try as we might, words just won't flow. Everything we write sounds like fudge and more often than not we end up thinking we're never going to write another word again.
As much as you may believe you're the only one out there suffering in this way, you're not alone. Nowhere even close to it.
What's important is to not let it worry you. Understand that this is something that happens to a lot of writers and that as unbelievable as it may seem at the time, the muse will come back. And probably with a vengeance. You'll have so many ideas you won't have time to get them all down on paper!
In the meantime, there are a few things you can do to help get your creative juices flowing again. The following are seven ideas that have worked for me. I can't guarantee they'll work equally as well for you, but if you need to write and the pen's not moving, they're definitely worth a try.
1. Imagine you were a child during the era of your grandmother's childhood. What do you imagine you would you be doing right now? If you could take one modern item back in time with you, what would it be and why? How do you imagine others would react to that item? Keep working on ideas that bring the past and the present together.
2. Try to see life through the eyes of a dog, cat or any other pet. What would make you happy? When would you feel frustrated? What matters to you? If you're a hamster, do you mind being caged up? If you're a dog, does it matter that your human wakes you from your comfortable bed to drag you out for a walk in the rain? Try to keep things from an animals perspective rather than making them furry humans.
3. Write a letter to 'somebody' explaining what you're writing about, why you're writing it and how you envisage the end product. If you're writing a novel, are you planning to find an agent? Will you write the whole novel first or just the first three chapters and then start sending out? If you're writing a column, where will it be used? Tell your 'somebody' absolutely everything that's related to your writing project.
4. Find a picture that inspires you and write about it. You don't necessarily need to describe the picture, rather write about how the picture makes you feel; why you feel drawn to it; what you think made the artist/photographer create that particular picture. The opposite can be done with a picture you dislike.
5. Take a newspaper or magazine and open it on a random page. Now pick a headline and write your own story around it. It doesn't have to be the same kind of story as the original. "Men Found In Tunnel" might originally have meant illegal immigrants trying to cross the border, but your story could be about jail-breakers, coal miners or anything else your imagination throws up.
6. Go for a walk. When you get back, write about the things you saw and experienced. Remember the bird splashing about in the puddle? Or the dog owner who allowed her pet to foul the street without clearing it away? Or what about the children riding bikes without helmets? Or the shop keeper standing at the doorway chatting with a couple of elderly women? How did those things make you feel?
7. Interview a friend. He or she doesn't have to be present - if you know them well enough, you can conduct a fictive interview. Now re-write their answers in a biographical manner.
Hopefully a few of those ideas will help you break your block. Just remember to not let it upset you too much because stress and anxiety will only add to the problem.
Happy writing!

What is tunnel of fudge cake?
Tunnel of Fudge Cake
Cake:
3 1/2 sticks butter or margarine, softened (1 3/4 cups), plus more for greasing pan
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for flouring pan
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
6 large eggs
2 cups confectioners' (powdered) sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups chopped walnuts (8-ounces)
Glaze:
3/4 cup confectioners' (powdered) sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons milk
Heat the oven to 350*F. Grease a 12-cup Bundt pan or 10-inch angel cake pan. Dust with flour and tap out the excess.
In a large bowl, beat the butter and granulated sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, for 1 to 2 minutes. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gradually add 2 cups confectioners' sugar, beating until well-blended. By hand, stir in 21/4 cups flour, 3/4 cup cocoa and the nuts; mix until well-blended. Spoon the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 58 to 62 minutes. (Because this cake has a soft tunnel of fudge, an ordinary doneness test cannot be used. Accurate oven temperature and baking time are critical.)
Let the cake cool upright in the pan on a rack for 1 hour, then invert onto a serving plate and let cool completely.
To make the glaze: In a small bowl, combine 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa and 1 1/2 tablespoons milk. Mix until well blended, adding the remaining 1/2 tablespoon milk to make a spooning consistency.
Spoon the glaze over the top of the cooled cake, allowing some to run down sides. Store the cake tightly covered.
Makes 12 to 14 servings.

Don Mclean

A lot of people believe that money will make them rich. This is why they leave school and go to university to become doctors, lawyers and other professionals that earn a lot of money. They believe that the more money they earn the richer they will become. But this is not true, generally speaking the more people earn the poorer they become because they get into more debt and buy more things that go down in value.
A friend of mine is highly specialized and earns a great deal of money. His wife is also highly specialized and has her own psychology practice, so they earn a lot of money. But so far all they have seemed to do with their money is accumulate more debt. Sure they have nice cars and nice furniture, but they are now required to work more than I do because their expenses are higher. Their money is not making them rich. It is making them comfortable, but it is not making them rich.
My friend has been talking to me about financial advice. It is sometimes interesting when you talk to people who earn a lot of money because they think that because they have the money they are more valuable to a partnership than me. But the funny thing is that I am more valuable to the partnership than them because money itself won't make you rich, but what you do with your money makes you rich.
Lets say my friend had $100,000 (which I know he either has or could accumulate quickly), with his financial education one of the best things he could do is put the money in the bank and earn 4% interest. He would then be taxed 50% on that interest earning him 2% overall (per year). The value of his money is going down 3%-5% per year from inflation meaning that he is ultimately losing 1%-3% per year on his $100,000. That is a loss of $1,000-$3,000 per year. Now that is not a very good investment. I on the other hand can take $4,000 and earn 25% tax free income by purchasing an asset. When inflation goes up my asset goes up in value and so does my return on investment, so I don't lose money. I end up earning $1,000 per year on $4,000 while he loses $3,000 per year on $100,000. So as you can see it is not the money that makes you rich but the financial intelligence and why you do with the money that will make you rich.
Money Goes Down In Value Over Time
One of the reasons money doesn't make you rich is because money goes down in value over time. The government can print as much money as they want (and they do). The more money they print the more your money becomes worth less and less. People say the cost of living is going up (this is also known as inflation) but really the buying power of money is going down. So by just saving money you are actually losing value every year as the buyer power of the dollar goes down.
Money Itself Doesn't Make You Rich
Money doesn't make you rich, but it is what you do with your money that makes you rich. Poor and middle classed people use their money to increase their expenses. They do this through buying bigger houses, more expensive cars and gadgets. As they get a pay rise their expenses go up and they end up with newer stuff but they are actually poorer than before and are constantly forced to work just to pay for their expenses. Rich people use their money to buy assets that generate them income. Because they buy assets their income is constantly going up. They can use to passive income (income they don't have to work for) from their assets to pay for their expenses such as debt and expensive gadgets and cars etc.
You might have a lot of money, you might have very little. But the fact is that money doesn't make you rich. What you do with your money will make you rich or poor and know what to do with your money ultimately determines how hard your money works for you. For me, with a good financial education, a little bit of money can work very hard for me. For someone else in a high paying job even millions of dollars won't allow them to retire because their money doesn't work hard for them. So if you want to be rich focus on increasing your financial education.
Becoming financially free in just 5 years is possible for anyone. It doesn't matter what your current financial situation is, you can become rich and never have to work again in just 5 short years. You don't need a high paying job or a get rich quick scheme, you just need real training on creating real strategies for getting rich.

What is the connection of Vincent van Gogh to the song Vincent by Don McLean?
Help! My English homework, so hard to find. Can you please add who wrote the song and the purpose of the song. Please and Thank You! Happy New Year Everyone!
DO YOUR OWN WORK!!!! haha just kiddin, mate. the whole song is about him. the name is actually Vincent (starry, starry night), reffering to his most famous painting. don's basically saying that van gogh killed himself, because he was beyond this world. he was too brilliant for it. "i could've told you, vincent, this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you." kudos to your english teacher for giving you cool assignments. and i'm pretty sure don wrote the song.

Tucker Band Cassette

Many thanks to Uncle ILL for the info he accepted to share with me.
Jermaine Harbin aka Uncle ILL was born on April the 5th, 1976, in Detroit. Uncle ILL grew up in Detroit. Not only was he the witness of the early stages of Detroit hip hop, he participated largely to its first steps. Rich of 16 years of rapping experience, Uncle ILL has earned a lot of respect on the local scene. However, Jermaine Harbin deserves more recognition on a nationwide and international scale for his numerous collaborations and very original and diverse work.
Largely influenced by Ice T’ movie Breakin’, Uncle ILL started rapping at the age of 12.
How does he sound?
In fact, it is quite difficult to define Uncle ILL’s music. Very open minded about the music, Uncle ILL found his inspiration in many different artists such as Ice T, George Clinton, NWA, Eminem, Kraftwerk, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more. With his typical grave voice, Uncle ILL talks about diverse themes from domestic disputes, fake thugs, hood life to moving to the suburbs and nosey behaviors, just to name a few themes.
Uncle ILL uses various instruments and manages to create a very dynamic and energetic sound. You could barely sit down while listening to Uncle ILL: most of his tracks are an invitation to move your body and dance to his music.
Uncle ILL is not a hardcore rapper, he nevertheless deserves the listeners’ attention for his good work.
Back in the days of early Detroit hip hop
Uncle ILL has collaborated with many local emcees on the Detroit scene. In the early stages of his career, Jermaine Harbin needed some beats. A friend of his, Fred, introduced him to Manix of Bassmint Productions.
At this time Manix was producing beats for Champtown’s album, Crazy Home escapist & Check It, an album on which Uncle ILL is featured.
This is also how two young men known as Marshall Mathers aka Eminem and Dan Carlisle aka Mc Hush crossed his road.
Soon Uncle ILL and Mc Hush would unite their talents and their passion for hip hop and work together on their common Da Ruckus label.
Da Ruckus
After his collaborations with local rapper Champtown, the Detroit rapper that would actually play a major role in Uncle ILL’s collaborations is another veteran on the local scene: Dan Carlisle aka Mc Hush.
Both rappers decided to unite their talents and their passion for hip hop and created the legendary label known as Da Ruckus that is mentioned in Eminem’s Stan song.
In 1997, Da Ruckus released an album independently, Quiet As Kept.
Federation Records decided to invest in the Da Ruckus label and the following year, the label would release an EP Da Ruckus Episode 1.
150 Emcees is an example of the beautifully well handled songs from the Episode 1 EP. Da Ruckus Episode 1 is rich of many interesting Detroit collaborations including Eminem, Swifty of D12, Miz Korona, Mad Chemist.
Two singles, « We Shine » in collaboration with Eminem and « We Came Here To Party » in collaboration with Dale, would be released in 1998.
In his Metro Times review of Da Ruckus, Hobey Echlin says about Epidode 1: « Episode1 isn’t just tight, it’s a pretty accurate depiction of a day in the strife. »
You will be able to listen to snippets of Epidode 1 here.
One of Da Ruckus’ main goals was to struggle for more recognition on a national scale. Da Ruckus’ musical style is dark and close to a definitely Esham inspired horror core.
Solo career and collaboration with Mad Chemist
After a while, Hush and Uncle ILL decided to both concentrate on their solo careers.
Uncle ILL started collaborating with Mad Chemist on his solo album Ya’ll Know, that was released in 2001. Mad Chemist produced Y’all Know.
You will be able to listen to some tracks of Uncle ILL’s album here.
http://www.undergroundhiphop.com/store/detail.asp?UPC=SR011CD
I particularly recommend you Cho, Who’s Ya Uncle, Stress and Sunday. Uncle ILL’s CD is full of interesting Detroit collaborations, including Mad Chemisy, Mc Hush and Miz Corona. I’d call it a Detroit underground classic that is definitely worth your interest.
A rich career that is far from ending
Besides his numerous collaborations with fellow emcees, the commercials he did for various companies like Wireless Toyz, Uncle ILL also created his own clothing line Uncle ILL Gear.
Moreover, the talented and dynamic Uncle ILL never gave up his passion for rap: he is still active in making his original music. On November the 15th, 2005, he released a brand new CD, Undisputed (1996-2006), which can be considered as an anthology of his work and collaborations.
Uncle ILL has made a video for his Keep On song that can be found on his my space account.
http://www.myspace.com/uncleill
Uncle ILL is a skilled emcee of experience. Co founder of the Da Ruckus label, Detroiters already consider him as a local hip hop legend. Check out the talented artist who is definitely worth your attention.

Under Lock Key

Various Keys in the Locksmith Industry
When security started all locks needed keys. Things have changed slightly due to the advancement in technology. Years from now when they make all keyless entry devices the backup manual way will be always be keys regardless of the advancements in technology. So keys are still and will always be relevant today and in the future for security purposes. Using a lock with keys in combination with a keyless entry security is the best way to protect your most prized possessions. The common keys are pretty much self explanatory, but the rare keys are used in special instances at desperate measures. In spite of opting to use a common key or a rare key, it is highly imperative to keep a copy of your keys in a safe place that only you can find in case of lockout.
The road to becoming a certified locksmith varies from country to country. Actually, in the United States, there are variations in nearly every state because there are differentiating laws for particular trades. Yet the important information to have obtained in the process towards a locksmith apprentice is similar throughout the world and our country. A person must not only have an applicable knowledge of various keys but also understand each keys function and purpose. Even though there are keyless and electric locks, keys are arguably most likely the sole item that is most synonymous with the locksmith industry. Therefore, it is imperative that individuals who are interested in this field understand the discrepancies in various lock and key systems. Some types of keys include but not limited to common keys like the house key, car key, master key, control key, and do not duplicate key to rare keys with unique qualification such as double-sided key, paracentric key, skeleton key, tubular key, zeiss key, restricted key and keycards.

if obama is on the up and up why is his birth certificate and passport under lock and key?
g gordon liddy was talking about this the other day on radio.he had a gentleman on his program that swore obama was born in kenya. so why don,t he show it and get rid of all the questions.
US Presidents get to have diplomatic passports, and they get to keep them forever. President Obama's birth certificate is online many places, including FactCheck.org, which shows the front and back with the raised seal, the number, and all the details. If they are under lock and key (like mine are), it's so people don't steal them.
Please can we all find new conspiracies to play with? This one is getting old.

You Can Purchase Alan Jackson Tickets In Many Different Packages
Alan Jackson born on October 17, 1958 is an American country music singer and songwriter. He is the one of the best-selling country musicians of the 1990s and has sold over 40 million albums with 30 number 1 hits. Jackson is originally from Newnan, Georgia. He previously worked in The Nashville Network's mailroom. Jackson's wife Denise got him connected to Glen Campbell, who helped him jumpstart his career.
His first album, 1990's here in the Real World, was a major hit, as was his second (1991) album, Don't Rock the Jukebox. His 1992 release, A Lot about Living' (And a Little 'Bout Love) was a smash success, spawning five major singles with "Chattahoochee" being the most enduring and successful. After a few more hit albums, Jackson again rocketed to fame with "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)," a song about the September 11, 2001 attacks, which became a hit single and briefly propelled him into the mainstream spotlight; the song was even the subject of parody on the popular animated series South Park, in the episode "A Ladder To Heaven".
Although Jackson has been characterized as a "hat act", his influences go deep into the roots of country music and his songs have been recorded by some of the greats like Charley Pride, who recorded "Here in the Real World". He has sung with George Jones on the award-winning "I Don't Need Your Rock in' Chair" and "A Good Year for the Roses." His sense of humor comes through in "Gone Country" with the satirical description of the wannabes who cynically jumped on the country music bandwagon in the 1990s: "Everybody's gone country/Yeah we've gone country/The whole world's gone country." He has been credited for popularizing a Nontraditional Country sound.
Alan's band is named the Stray Horns.
Some of Alan Jackson Albums are:
• Drive (2002)
• Let It Be Christmas (2002)
• Greatest Hits Volume II And Some Other Stuff (2003)
• What I Do (2004)
• Precious Memories (2006)
• and many more
He has received many awards like:
• Grammy sward for Best Country Song "Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning)" 2002
• Entertainer of the Year 1995
