Cassette Import Rare

HD Camcorders are generally lightweight, portable, useful, and create beautiful displays. Their owners generally have them attached to their hip (or pocket) just in case a rare, magical moment requires pulling it out and letting it do what it does best before it's too late. They're affordable enough that you won't need to take out a second mortgage on your home, but it's not exactly like buying a pack of gum either. It's an investment, a treasure, a personal companion when you're all alone but want to feel connected to what's happening around you. If you're a gadget person, you definitely have one (and maybe even two if you can't decide which model you like better). And even if you're not a technology buff, the beauty and allure of it somehow draws you in regardless. It's convenience wrapped up a pretty package and then pushed out to millions of users who once they get a hold of it, can't imagine life before it.
Wait, what were we talking about again? Because every word after "HD Camcorders are..." in the first sentence seems to apply every bit as much to the iPad as the beloved filming device. Think about it. Long-lost siblings? Maybe more like distant cousins. Because HD camcorders and the iPad aren't at all meant for the same purpose, nor do they rely on the same marketing. But somehow they elicit a similar feeling and behavior from their owners and if you have one of them, chances are at some point you'll own the other. Given that, you might as well just get it over with and learn now how to unite these two family members together. The iPad can't (yet) directly play videos from your camcorder, but with a little effort, you can easily convert your HD videos to iPad-supported video formats. With that kind of crisp, beautiful viewing capability, you can even make that upcoming cross-country family road trip a little more bearable. Here's how to start, finish, and view:
1. On your normal computer (non-iPad), download the "Moyea HD to iPad Video Converter". Install and launch. Easy so far, right?
2. Drag and drop the camcorder-recorded videos that need to be converted from your computer to the Moyea program. Once they're in there, you're ready to customize them for the iPad settings of your choice.
3. Select an output format that is compatible with you iPad (for example *.mp4 since the iPad can play 720p HD videos). Click "Settings" to set the output parameters and use the following default settings for the iPad: Video (Codec H264, Size 1280*720, Bizrate 4000, Frame 30); Audio (Codec AAC, Sample Rate 48000, Bizrate 16000, Channels Stereo).
4. Convert away. Click the "Start" button to run conversion. Once it's finished, import the new video formats to your iPad and enjoy the view.
