Obesity can cause many serious health conditions such as diabetes, heart diseases, hypertension, cancer, renal failure and even hemorrhage. These common ailments may become the main reason for any obese person to have his or her life at risk. Obesity is one of the major reasons why most people these days die at early age. This is because their bones are having a hard time supporting their weight. Consequently, obese people are at high risk for developing osteoarthritis even at early age.

Abnormal bone growth for children. When obesity occurs amongst children, they tend to have abnormalities and deformities on their bones and posture which in turn affect their growth.

Heart disease may develop. Generally speaking, the risk of getting heart disease is very common amongst obese people. The level of cholesterol is also affected, making it abnormal which in turn could thicken the blood vessel and when this occur the risk of getting a stroke is very high.

Hypertension may develop. High blood pressure is also very common amongst obese people and even young people who are obese may develop this serious condition.

High risk for varicose veins. An obese person is likely to develop varicose veins. Varicose veins are indication that something is wrong with the blood circulation.

Abnormal menstrual cycle. If a woman is obese then she will surely have some serious matters to deal with regarding pregnancy. Most obese women are prone to infertility because of irregular menstrual cycle.

Slowed recovery post-operatively. When an obese person undergone any kind of surgery, his or her recovery is very slow. The convalescence period is typically long.

Liver might be affected. Cirrhosis and other liver ailments are most likely to happen amongst obese people especially those obese who consume alcoholic beverages.

Obesity does not have to be a hindrance but instead treat it as a warning. There are many ways to get rid of all those unwanted and unhealthy fats off your system and it's never too late to start losing two to five pounds every week. Be more positive and everything will follow through.
