When you go on a lengthy trip, it can be really irritating when you lose your station, or static takes over. WHich movie is the montage clip of an alien type woman eating a butterfly with frog like toungue from ??

The clip is on a montage of films that used to come before the trailers on VHS tapes in the 90's and possibly late 80's. She's peeping round the side of a big rock I think and looks initialy like a normal/alien woman but then she sees a butterfly flying past and like a frog she shoots her tongue out and eats it. It's a picture that's stuck in my head from childhood and is driving me crazy cos it would always come up on the montage saying how good films were. It was before that DVD one came out and took it's place, you know the one with the pin dropping, it always confused me how they could show the "crystal clarity" of a DVD on a VHS cassette but still that's not the worry it's the butterfly eating woman that must be found !

I do not remeber any movie clips or lead ins like that but, I do remeber the Sci-Fi Channel had a logocommercial that did have a alienwoman catch a butterfly with a frog tounge.

Encore Capital Group, Inc. and its subsidiary, Midland Credit Management, Inc. claim to provide innovative methods for the mutual benefit of their customers and the debtors that they pursue simultaneously. On the front page of their website, they openly admit that they thrive on purchasing charge off accounts and other delinquent credit accounts for retrieval. They state that they "employ a dynamic mix of collection strategies to maximize our return on investment."

There's nothing wrong with that - unless it is unethical.

Midland Credit Management, Inc. has loads of angry debtors complaining about them on the Internet. They also have more than their fair share of lawsuits filed against them. All collection agencies experience some degree of disgruntled complaints, but Midland really takes the prize.

In no uncertain terms, they state that they are in business to maximize profits, even if it costs human debtors, who may be experiencing true hardships for any variety of reasons, their dignity. Since December 31, 2004, Midland Credit Management has invested over $387.3 million dollars to acquire 8.9 million delinquent accounts that carry a face value of over $16.2 billon (with a "b") dollars. Is it any wonder why so many call them "vultures"?

Here is how they describe their "collection strategies":

• Outbound calling driven by predictive software. If you had millions of people to endlessly harass, you would develop software apps too!
• A nation-spanning network of collection-specializing attorneys.  Must be good money in this. It's hard for most of us "debtors" to ever even hire one attorney!
• The utilization of numerous third party collection agencies. Can anyone say "sickening"?
• In-house generated direct mail campaigns. Hmm, wonder how much those letters are based on honesty and integrity - let alone the standards set forth by the FDCPA.
• The sale of accounts where appropriate. When they can't directly profit, they "take a loss". The loss is to the American public to allow these organizations to continue to thrive.

Just because someone owes a debt doesn't make them an invalid person. They may be trying disparately hard to overcome the burdens that are smothering them, but these companies like Midland Credit Management offer only fear-inducing, stress-causing ultimatums.

Photoshop - photo editing, effects on photos, and people also use it for drawing and graphics (some people use only this one and not the next 2 I'll list here. Pros often use all 3, though)

Illustrator - Vector graphics. This means the computer conceives what you draw on it as lines and shapes, rather than a bunch of dots, and then it's easier to change things, resize, etc. It's good for Internet graphics and for logos, and all sorts of things.

InDesign - prepares material for print. Say you want to print a booklet, don't just create separate graphic files - InDesign is GREAT for organizing the whole booklet, letting you play with typography, margins and more.

After Effects - animation. Haven't used it, don't know much about it.

You've spent hours scrapbooking, creating vivid, unforgettable pages. You slip them into the album pocket and - now what?

Do you stack the album on the shelves with the others, only to be opened when you go to a crop meet or have visitors? Or is there some way you can display your album pages so they can be enjoyed every day?

In fact, there are some creative ways you can display your scrapbooks and pages like the works of art they really are.

First, look at your album shelves. Can you clear a space wide enough to open up one of your albums? Standing an open album on the shelf will display two pages at once, and you can change the display simply by opening at two different pages or opening another album. You can add a simple ornament to complement the pages or a photo in a frame.

Another idea is to set up a special table to display your albums. You can have one album open and a few stacked nearby with a vase of flowers. This is a simple, elegant arrangement that places your albums close at hand for visitors to browse through and allows you to display your favorite pages.

Framing your favorite pages is another way to showcase your scrapbooking skills. You can hang a framed page over the table mentioned above, or create a wall display of framed pages.

If you use 12 x 12 pages and only have an 8 x 10 scanner it may seem difficult, but in fact you can scan both halves of your large page and join them together in a photo editing program like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.

You could even set you own scrapbooking website or submit your pages to existing websites and magazines in scanned .jpg form. Just remember that some magazines will want you to send the original page at some time so they can scan and photograph it themselves.

Scrapbook pages are a work of art, so why not display an open album or a scrapbook page on an easel? You can buy a special scrapbook with its own easel for display, or get an easel from an art supply shop. Look around flea markets and home wares stores for easels used to display large plates as well. These can be very decorative and effective.

Whatever method you choose, think outside the scrapbook album, and you can find creative ways to enjoy your scrapbook pages.

Being star struck has always facinated me. I have met with some famous people and even had the opportunity to interview famous celebrities like Warren Buffett, Larry King, Jon Huntsman, Orin Hatch, Buddy Hackett, Peter Lupus, Steve Miller, the list goes on and on. But I was never "starstruck" per say. And, in every case, the person I met was so nice and down to earth.

The desires of the public eye baffles even the greatest marketers and advertisers from the world over.

Does being a princess or being Michael Jackson, make that person any more of a person or less of one? Well there are some pretty great people out there who are famous by those terms, but there are plenty of people out there who are really great and no one knows anything about them!

I think there is a market for everything related to Michael Jackson including domain names, especially now. What ever you say about the man, he was talented! We'll all miss him. Some will buy Michael Jackson domain names and use them in their marketing, I am sure.
