Whatever happened to the music group Sweet Sensation? They came out in the late 80's early 90's. They came out w/ a song called "If Wishes Came True" and they did a remake of the Supremes song "Love Child'

I can remember during the late 1980's when I set up a pa system in a cupboard and placed a cassette walkman on a coffee table plugged into the pa, when you pressed play this incredible sound would blast from with in the cupboard. This was most impressive but today one can walk around with ones entire music collection in their pocket. One vital thing to remember when considering music marketing is that the business is constantly evolving, nothing stays the same and with every trend there are a number of solutions.

For today's artist there are more possibilities than ever to get heard. Music marketing is now in the hands of the artist and not just the all powerful record companies. The way that people can find new music has been revolutionised and the power has gone back to the people. We no longer have to listen to the few bands and acts that the majors are promoting, there are so many new places to discover music that there is not enough time in the world for any one person to hear them all. With new digital formats and ways that music is delivered never before has been so easy for a new unknown band to get heard if marketed correctly. Bear in mind that an amazing act with poor marketing will not get very far but a poor act with amazing marketing will go much further.

The main ways for an artist to promote themselves today are through social networking sites, the main one for music is myspace.com then Facebook and Youtube.com. There also online radio stations, podcasts and blogging. An artist can also sign up at indie sites that will host there music and deliver product digitally to outlets such as iTunes and eMusic etc. One such site that hosts an array of useful resources is reverbnation.com. Online marketing can be very low cost all you need is time to do it. It is very important to be persistent with high quality imagery and well written content because there is so much competition.

My tips for any artist wanting promote themselves online is: Study harder than the next guy. The best story wins. Put as much time in as possible. Be persistent and never give up. Good luck.

I believe is was just a self-titled cassette that they did. Here's some info:
The band spent the summer of 1993 in Charleston, SC, where they met future member Jonathan Gray. After arriving in Boston in late 1993, Jump, Little Children recorded and released a self-titled cassette featuring original songs and traditional Irish works. Pollen then left the group to join a religious community, and Clifford and the Bivins brothers returned to Charleston in the summer of 1994. I cant find the tracks that were on this album though. It seems like this was the only cassette they did before The Licorice Tea Demos in 1995. I hope this helps.

Within the walls of Rome lies the Vatican. Though technically not part of Italy, it is in fact an independent state and the smallest country in the world. Considered by many to be Christianity's finest Renaissance church, St Peter's Cathedral is a magnificent piece of architecture. Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel is another must see, though you may have to compete with large crowds. It is advisable to book your visit beforehand.

High up in the mountains sits the beautiful little town of Assisi, overlooking Perugia. The 14th century fortress of Rocca Maggiore sits predominantly, once the sentinel guarding this proud city. It is the birthplace of St Francis and well worth a visit, provided you can negotiate the religious pilgrims.

In the north of Italy sits the vogue city of Milan. The town is famous for its fashion businesses and exquisite shopping. Indeed, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele is believed to be the oldest shopping mall in the world.

The Biblioteca Ambrosiana holds sketches by Leonardo da Vinci amid its considerable resources of books and drawings. It is one of the main libraries of European culture.

Is it good to live in the norteast side of Las vegas?

We are moving to Las vegas soon. We are used to military environment so we are looking for a property in the north side of LAs vegas. Is it a good area to live? Plase help me. Thank you.

stay away from Nellis AFB and North Las Vegas especially.
There is nothing but cheesy red-neck bars, strip clubs,
and pay day loan stores near Nellis. If you are used to a
military environment then you prob are familiar with the bar fights,
the low lifes, and the crime that goes with it. I lived by Luke AFB
in Goodyear off-base during my service, and I thought it was a scum environment even being in the military, and wouldn't be caught dead in any clubs or bars in vincinity. We used to go out to
Tempe or Glendale and find decent places to hang. Stay FAR
away from Nellis. If you have kids, you'd have to be crazy to live
anywhere near Nellis and North Las Vegas. Razor-mean Hispanic gang members walk the streets at night, and its
ugly and seedy beyond words.....Do yourself a favor and move to
Henderson....its totally safe, kid-friendly, and FAR from the strip
(8-miles, but you can see it in distance). Henderson is the place
to be...affordable, people are very friendly, and lots of things to do.
Tons of local's casinos too....locals casinos are basically rec centers for locals...they hang there, can eat cheap and good there, they all have movie theaters and bowling alleys, and pool
and dart tournaments and stuff. Any casino with --------station,
at the end of the name is a local's casino, except for Sam's Town
and The Reserve, two other awesome local casinos near Henderson. Henderson also has a great park system with water
parks and stuff, and a huge library system, where you can rent
current release DVD's for free! Do yourself a favor and move to Henderson! You'll LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!

Work At Home Ads Are Generally Scams

In this economy I know people are taking a look at something they maybe hadn't thought about seriously before; and that's the work at home businesses.

How can you help it especially if you've been laid off your job and the phone isn't ringing with that next job and the savings is getting low. When things get tough you start to look at all your options available and these ads that promise big money for little work. No one could blame you for calling those numbers and sending in that $45 or $100 for more information coz' sheesh, what could it hurt? Well, let me tell you about a person who did try these ads and what happened to him.

The first ad that was answered was for a guy called Brad Richdale who had a 'school' where he taught you how to get rich. Considering the cost of the package about $39 it seemed a bargain for all the money that was going to be made. Now when the package arrived this person was all agog and excited for he knew for certain that his financial woes would finally be over. He read through the program in one night and the next day immediately started implementing the plans that the book laid out. This person made certain the he followed the instructions to the letter and after a month of trying, he actually made absolutely $0 in the way of profit. Now don't get the wrong impression he didn't try, in fact he kept trying for quite a long time for he felt certain that Brad Richdale's information was good and he just wasn't applying himself to the task. In fact, he was trying to get the I believe it was $1500 needed to take Brad Richdale's advanced class so he could be certain he got the right information so he could start making that money! But unfortunately he couldn't raise the money and subsequently he didn't get the class, thus he knew without that class he couldn't do anything but fail. So finally he gave up this plan but put all his hope in the next one; Carleton Sheets 'No Money Down'.

Carlton Sheets was on every cable access channel for years hawking his 'No Money Down' system to real estate wealth. For $9.99, this valuable information seemed like a steal and yet again this person got excited at the thought of making all this money in real estate with this 'No Money Down' system. Well to make a long story short, there was really no information in the package but there was an invitation extended to attend a 'workshop' where Mr. Sheets would teach you all the secrets about making money in real estate with 'No Money Down' and it would only cost you either $2500 or $5000, I can't remember. Well naturally that was out of the question because if this person couldn't afford the $1500 plan, how in the hell could he afford this? Eitherway, that was a bust too so he went looking for someone else and he found them in the person of the charismatic Don Lapre.

Don Lapre for the longest was 'also' on a lot of cable access channels running his informercial for 'Making Money' package where he swore you could make a fortune through placing these 'tiny classified ads' in local and other papers and making a fortune! He had a lot of testimonials to people who claimed that they had made money off of this package and yet again this person began to salivate at the thought of being financially free again. Yeah, he had it bad. Well the package couldn't come fast enough and yet again when he got it he read through it in an hour or so again. But whoa! something happened this time because something wasn't right. Yes there was something very familiar about the whole way this 'Making Money' package was organized and it seemed like he had seen it before. Thinking for a moment he went and pulled out an old package he had put in a corner a few years ago and read it. Yes, indeed with a few exceptions it almost looked exactly like Brad Richdales get rich quick instruction package. Same books, same cassette (though Don Lapre included a VHS video) basically same sort of information.

Postscript: Brad Richdales offices in Florida were raided by Federal Authorities, I heard Carleton Sheets had some trouble but it was said that he didn't make his money off of real estate but by selling his packages and classes otherwise he had 'no money down' on any properties, and Don Lapre has a rap sheet that dates back years with the Arizona authorities for fraud and bunko though he never did any time but was told to cease his activities. Thus he's filed for bankruptcy, had to sell his various companies, got in trouble again for hawking vitamins on tv, and it seems looking for his next gig if he hasn't found it as of this writing.

The message in this article is that most of these work at home deals you see advertised on television and the net are scams. These people prey on those who are desperate for a break or for change in their lives and it's amazing how often people fall for these scams especially when the time is just wrong. I guess you've figured out that the person who tried these things was me, so I'm not talking about something I think but something I have a very sad experience from for none of these 'get rich' programs delivered on their promises. All of these people are under investigation at some point by Federal Authorities and they all generally get away with it because what they're selling in THEORY could work and that disclaimer in tiny print at the bottom of the screen that flashes for ten seconds maybe, that's their stay-out-of-jail free card.

do you still OWN A VCR?

not only do i still but i have over 500 VHS tapes that are freaking obsolete. i remember when i felt so cool cause i owned a top of the line ''4 head hi fi stereo'' VCR that i might as well pitch out with my once hip Sony Walkman and dual cassette recorder, lol, hell now i have to get new tv's by February.
at one time i felt totally state of the art, now i feel like Fred freaking Flintstone,lol

Well don't feel too bad there Tiger - we had one until we moved to AZ in late 2004, I still have a TV with VHS built in. So I guess I still have one.

What if they came back with a book about an adult Harry Potter 20 years from now?

They did it with "Indiana Jones" coming back after 20 years with the characters aged the gap between the years the films were separted for release. What if 20 years from now, J.K. Rowling surprises us with another book that takes place 20 years after the events of the 7th book? Harry Potter is 37 and called back into action by the Ministry of Magic.... I don't know... Would it be a good addition or should a book like that never be written? Just remember, if J.K. Rowling wrote it too, it could still have some of the magic that the first 7 ones did.

As much as you and I would love it, she wouldn't do it!

I think JK Rowling is going to take a little break from Harry Potter. Who knows? Maybe she will decide to continue writing some books about the Wizarding World, but I doubt they'd follow Harry. I reckon they'd follow Harry's son, Albus. If they followed Harry, dont' you think it would get a little boring? I mean, he's already had such a big adventure, it should really stop at the end of school for him. I reckon if JK Rowling did do what you're talking about, she would include Harry definitely, but would base the story with Albus, one of Hermione and Ron's children (Rose or Hugo) and with other kids who would be the children of tonnes of our favourite characters from Harry, Ron and Hermione's years at Hogwarts.

That would be so cool! Anyway, what we do know is that in a few years time, the Harry Potter Encyclopedia by JK Rowling will come out. That will explain to us about all of the surviving character's future's and some stories, so what you're talking about will definitely sort of happen. And then there's 'The Tale of Beedle the Bard' to be released by JK Rowling's publisher's this December! The book follows a series of magical fairytales written by JK Rowling. Anyway, it's going to be so great!
